VDMA Printing and Paper Technology and Print Promotion used All in Print China 2026 to gain valuable market insights, strengthen international partnerships, and promote drupa 2028.

The tenth edition of All in Print China took place from October 12 to 16, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). With more than 1,100 exhibitors across approximately 120,000 square meters, the event once again confirmed its position as one of Asia’s leading trade fairs for printing and packaging technologies.

Under the theme „Intelligent Print, Infinite Creation“, the exhibition showcased innovations spanning the entire value chain, from conventional and digital printing to finishing, automation, artificial intelligence, and sustainable production solutions. The strong presence of Chinese manufacturers and the breadth of technologies on display demonstrated the dynamic development of the country’s printing and packaging industry.

Market Insights and International Exchange

Representing VDMA Printing and Paper Technology and Print Promotion, Richard Clemens and Christina Feist attended the exhibition to explore the latest market and technology trends and exchange ideas with industry stakeholders.

Particularly notable was the large number of Chinese machinery and equipment manufacturers, underlining China’s growing role as both a production and innovation hub for the global industry. At the same time, several German companies, including Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, KURZ, manroland, and Baumüller, showcased their technologies, highlighting the continuing importance of the Chinese market for German equipment suppliers.

Beyond the exhibition itself, the visit provided numerous opportunities for discussions with manufacturers, partners, and industry experts from around the world.

Strengthening Cooperation and Promoting drupa 2028

A key element of the visit was the exchange with Messe Düsseldorf and its team in China. Meetings with Sabine Geldermann, Benedikt Salmen, Evian Gu, and Larry Chen focused on current industry developments, the significance of the Chinese market, and future opportunities for international cooperation.

As a member of the drupa alliance, All in Print China serves as an important link between the Chinese market and the global printing and packaging community. The event also provided an ideal platform to promote drupa 2028, which will take place in Düsseldorf from May 9 to 17, 2028.

An important highlight was the drupa press conference held on October 13, 2026, during All in Print China in Shanghai. The event provided an excellent opportunity to inform the international industry about the upcoming world’s leading trade fair and to emphasize its role as a global platform for innovation, technology transfer, and business development.

During his presentation, Dr. David Schmedding, Chief Technology & Sales Officer at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, highlighted the outstanding importance of drupa for the international printing and paper industry and underlined its unique role in bringing together technology suppliers, manufacturers and users from around the world. Against the backdrop of the rapidly evolving Chinese market, drupa remains the key global meeting point for the printing and packaging sector and an important platform for international exchange and business development.
